Returns Policy

The A-Z for Returning goods at Motohansa.

We are happy to exchange, provide store credit, or refund items in new, unused and original condition within 14 days from the date of your order. When returning items, all product/ticket tags and packaging must be returned with the goods in order for the goods to be restocked and resold.

Please contact us first to register your return at sales@motohana.com.au. When returning goods please include a copy of your receipt and the reason for the return, and, if you would like to make an exchange, please include the details of the new items you would like. We cannot accept any returns without prior notification.

Return shipping costs will be refunded to you where the return is a result of our error.

Please note, we cannot provide a refund if; you do not have proof of purchase from Motohansa, the goods have been used or tested, the goods have been damaged after you purchased them, or if you find the same item at a cheaper price somewhere else.

WHAT can be returned?

Motohansa will accept product returns and provide you with an exchange or refund where:

The item is Faulty

  • The product is faulty or is not of merchantable quality, or
  • The product is not fit for its intended purpose, or
  • The product does not match the sample or our description; and
  • You can present your Motohansa online invoice or other adequate proof of purchase

Please note, in the case of electrical and electronic products (see definition below) and safety products Motohansa may elect to return the product to the manufacturer's repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. If the product is determined to be faulty, not of merchantable quality, not fit for purpose or not matching a description or sample, Motohansa will offer a repair, exchange voucher or refund.

In the case of electrical and electronic products and safety equipment products Motohansa will be happy to refer you to the manufacturer's customer service for assistance with operating difficulties or product repairs.

If you are experiencing operating difficulties with electrical, electronic or other similar products we recommend you first contact us before returning the product. Many operating difficulties can be quickly solved with the right advice.

Where you seek a refund for any item that was purchased as part of a Special Offer or Promotion, Motohansa may refund the price in accordance with Special Offer or Promotion eligibility.

No refund will be given on free items and any refund amount may be recalculated if your return results in Special offer or promotion eligibility no longer being met.

Motohansa reserves the right to assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund. This may result in a repair, exchange or refund being refused.

Change of mind returns

If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase, Motohansa will offer you an exchange or a store credit provided that:

You return the item within 14 days of purchase; You provide your original Motohansa online invoice; The item is in resalable condition including that:

  • All provided instruction manuals and all accessories;
  • It is unworn, unopened, unused, has not been fitted and in its original condition;
  • Any sew-in labels are still attached; and
  • In the case of electronic equipment the original security seal or shrink wrap is intact and that: The product is not one on which a change of mind return is not available (see below).

If these requirements are not satisfied Motohansa reserves the right not to offer a refund for change of mind returns.

Goods on which Return is not available

Products that are specially ordered non-stocked items, custom made, bulk quantity, or corporate special orders cannot be exchanged/refunded.

Motohansa does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any items during shipping. If in any case you receive an item that is damaged we suggest you follow it up with the postal service provider. In the case the packaging or wrapping containing the ordered products is clearly damaged, We invite the buyer to refuse delivery form the shipping agent or to specify that the package was "received with reservations".

WHEN do items need to be returned by?

Items need to be returned within 14 days of purchase to be eligible for refund or exchange.

WHERE do items need to be returned to?

The return address will be provided as part of the return approval process.  Please contact us to initiate the returns process at sales@motohansa.com.au

HOW do customers return items?

Please contact us first to register your return at sales@motohansa.com.au.

Please include in the email a copy of your receipt and the reason for the return. If you would like to make an exchange, please include the details of the new items you would like.

You will be notified if the return is eligible and when it has been approved.

If you cannot present your Motohansa online invoice or other acceptable proof of purchase, Motohansa reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange.

Refunds will be issued using your original payment method. Refunds will not be provided for the purchase of gift cards. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash.

We recommend sending returns via registered post or courier as we do not accept responsibility for lost items.

SHIPPING for returns

Shipping charges will only be refunded in the case of a Motohansa online store error.

If you have changed your mind about your online purchase, all return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

We do not refund postage, or cover the cost of return postage on warranty claims, as your warranty is a manufacturer warranty not a Motohansa warranty.

Packing materials

When returning items, all product/ticket tags and packaging must be returned with the goods in order for the goods to be restocked and resold.

Please return any accessories and manuals supplied with product (Electrical Equipment – ECU. CPU, Wiring Loom, Globes, Coils, Ignition Modules, Race Tuners, Stators, Regulators, Circuit Breakers, Batteries)

Warranty claims

Goods are often covered by manufacturer warranties. On your behalf we will assist to repair, exchange or provide a credit note for the goods subject to the agreement of the customer. If the goods are not repairable, you will be eligible for a new replacement, exchange or store credit. Refunds are not granted on warranty claims as the goods have been used. Please note, some manufacturers warranties are for replacement and not repair.

Please inspect your product within 14 days of receiving it to check for any defects even if you are not planning on using the item straight away so we can immediately exchange the item as a replacement and not a warranty claim.

We do not refund postage, or cover the cost of return postage on warranty claims, as your warranty is a manufacturer warranty not a Motohansa warranty.

To start you’re dispute/warranty claim simply sign into your account on the website and you will find the dispute/resolution centre. Once lodged, you can also track the progress of your dispute online at any time. Most disputes can be resolved through communication and it's best to contact us as soon as you recognise a potential problem.

Many of our products come with a guarantee or warranty from the manufacturer. In addition, they come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage within a reasonable time frame from purchase. You are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced at our choice if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
